On June 9, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari tied the knot at their Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles. The couple first met when Britney cast Sam in her ‘Slumber Party’ music video, back in October 2016. He has been publicly supportive of her in the fight to end her conservatorship, and now, the two are married. The ceremony was attended by everyone from Madonna to Britney’s former dancers, and the bride looked stunning in a custom Versace wedding gown.
Although there was a brief scare when Britney’s ex, Jason Alexander, gate-crashed the wedding preparations and was arrested, the ceremony was still nothing short of a fairytale affair. Here are five moments from Britney and Sam’s wedding that the internet can’t get enough of:
1. This star-studded rendition of Madonna’s ‘Vogue’
Britney, along with Paris Hilton, Madonna, Donatella Versace, Drew Barrymore, and Selena Gomez came together to sing a few lines from Madonna’s hit song ‘Vogue’ while posing for photos.

2. Britney and Madonna recreated their iconic VMAs kiss
During their performance at the 2003 VMAs, Madonna shared a kiss with Britney (and then one with Christina Aguilera, too), much to the shock and awe of fans. The moment has since become embedded into pop culture history. Britney and Madonna took the opportunity to recreate it at the wedding.
3. Paris Hilton declined an invitation to DJ for Joe Biden so she could be there
Paris revealed in the latest episode of her podcast, This Is Paris, that she had received an invite to DJ for President Joe Biden’s Summit of Americas dinner. But she declined the invitation so she could attend the wedding. “But this (Britney’s wedding) was more important to me,” she said.
4. Britney walked herself down the aisle
This was undoubtedly the most powerful moment of the ceremony. It says so much about Britney empowering herself and regaining control over her life after the long battle against her father and the conservatorship.

5. Britney’s Cinderella moment
In perfect harmony with the magical ceremony, Britney shared a photo on Instagram of what seems to be a delicate glass slipper with her wedding date engraved on it.
